Direct Action Tactical was founded to train the brave men and women of Law Enforcement, Military, and Private Security to go into harm’s way and emerge victorious. As each and every D.A.T. Instructor has a background in LE, Military, PSD or all of the above. We are keenly aware of the crippling budget restrictions and limitations placed on training by many agencies. Because of this, D.A.T. offers a reduced fee for all LEO / Military Restricted Courses. In addition all current LEO’s, Active Duty Military and Members of the Reserves will receive a discount on any open enrollment or specialty course offered by Direct Action Tactical.

Tactical Handgun – 3 Day – $300
Tactical Handgun is designed to train personnel in the complete defensive use of the handgun. Training will be focused on the realistic application of the handgun by an armed professional as opposed to an armed citizen. Topics will include: firearm selection, equipment selection and considerations, defensive mindset, draw cycle and presentation, combat marksmanship, advanced weapons manipulation, use of cover, shooting on the move, engagements from contact to extended distances, multiple targets, moving targets, spontaneous attack defense, counter ambush, vehicular based tactics, malfunction clearance, alternate positioning, low light handgun tactics, complete situational awareness, legal considerations, and live fire partner & team tactics.
Prerequisite: Sworn LEO with powers of arrest within their primary jurisdiction, Active Duty Military, Active Member of Military Reserves.

Student Responsibility (Ammunition & Equipment):
- Ammunition: 1,000 rounds
- Working modern handgun, with at least 3 magazines or speed loaders

Tactical 2-Gun – 3 Day – $300
Tactical 2-Gun is designed to prepare Officers, Operators and Soldiers with the skills required to effectively utilize a 2-Gun System. This course will focus on the use of the carbine and handgun as a total defensive weapons system. Topics will include: firearm selection, equipment selection and considerations, rifle set-up, defensive mindset, combat rifle marksmanship, firing positions, alternate firing positions, rifle manipulation, reloading the rifle, malfunction clearance, defensive strategies with the carbine, draw cycle and presentation, combat marksmanship, advanced handgun manipulation, use of cover, shooting on the move, engagements from contact to extended distances, multiple targets, moving targets, counter ambush, vehicular based tactics, malfunction clearance, alternate positioning, low light tactics, complete situational awareness, legal considerations, live fire partner & team tactics and carbine/handgun strengths and weaknesses.

LEO Firearms Instructor Refresher – 3 Day – $300
The Firearms Instructor Refresher (FIR) Program is designed to provide current firearms instructors with continuing education and current training methodologies. Understanding that a good instructor is always a student first, this course includes a variety of drills, training theory, and contemporary teaching methodologies. The program also qualifies NRA instructors for their required continuing education hours. The program is centered on the handgun platform, however training concepts for the carbine and shotgun will also be discussed.
Prerequisite: Sworn LEO with powers of arrest within their primary jurisdiction + Current verifiable firearms instructor credentials (NRA, State, Federal, etc.)

High Threat Officer Survival – 5 Day – $700
High Threat Officer Survival (HTOS) is a hybrid firearm and defensive tactics training package designed to enhance officer’s survivability in all manners of conflict. HTOS begins with officers attending the first two days of Tactical 2-Gun, followed by two days of intense Defensive Tactics training utilizing Direct Action Tactical’s Self Defense Training System. On day five officers will combine all of their skills during dynamic live fire and force-on-force scenarios. The program is intense and designed for those officers in good physical condition who are wishing to push their personal capabilities to the next level.
